I saw this sticker on a truck window yesterday. I assume that’s Osama Bin Laden that Calvin’s peeing on? Then again, my father always told me that assuming makes and ass…c’mon, you know how the saying goes.  These decals are nothing new - in North Carolina, I saw Calvin peeing on just about every Nascar driver’s number. Ford logos. Chevy logos. Public education.  Like anything else we stick on the rear window of a car, Calvin embodies a sense of pride. But let’s take a step back: Calvin is a fictional character; a figure of imagination, exploring an alternate reality with a stuffed animal that he believes to be a living creature. We, as rational beings, find a sense of pride in encouraging that fictional (delusional) character to urinate on things. Like other people. Yep, that sounds about right.
